LC New Delhi and LC Kathmandu joined IAPS
The Decoders of the Cosmic Code of New Delhi, India have joined IAPS as a provisional local committee. First events are seminars and physics based quizzes. The St. Xavier's Physics Council in Kathmandu, Nepal, is also a new local committee. They spread physics with webinars and a physics Olympiad.

FERMI Database of Internships for Physics Students
Our members from Italy put together the so called FERMI database, where they collect internship possibilities and other opportunities for physics students. This database has now been translated into English!
FERMI database contains more than 70 opportunities across 15 research and R&D fields in over 10 different countries so far. The different internships are classified according to research area, time period, salary, level of study (Bachelor, Master, PhD) and location. Check out the FERMI database - and you might just find your next opportunity!
ICPS 2017
Early bird registration for this year's ICPS in Torino, Italy (August, 7th to 14th) is open until February 26th. Already more than 200 members from all over the world registered for the biggest event of IAPS calendar! Say YES to a week full of physics, cultural activities and new friends from the whole wide world. Register and be a part of it!

ICPS Worldwide Grant
You are an outstanding student currently enrolled in physics or physics related disciplines? You want to participate in ICPS 2017 but don't know how to handle all the expenses? IAPS is offering to financially support up to two students with up to 1000€ per person to cover the conference fee and up to 80% of travel costs. Take the chance and apply before February 26th!

jIAPS Article Contest
Writing scientific articles is a pleasure for you? Maybe you love writing texts but never tried a scientific one? Try it and be a part of this year's jIAPS Article Contest! The best articles will make it to the journal of IAPS (jIAPS) 2017 which will be published online and distributed during the ICPS. The contest is open until February 28th.
Upcoming activities:
This year PLANCKS will be held on May 26th to 28th in Graz, Austria. There are several preliminaries all over the world to select the representatives of multiple countries. Do you know if there is a preliminary round in your country? If not, you can find them on event's website.
