Vice-Chancellor's Voice

Good morning. Today I am delighted to announce a new collaboration with one of the world’s leading universities. I have this week signed an agreement that will allow us to offer our students access to Harvard Business School’s Credential of Readiness (CORe) program through their prestigious digital learning initiative, HBX. This is a first of its kind for an Australian university and an excellent opportunity for our students to enhance their knowledge and skills.

On the topic of collaborations, this week also sees me travelling to India as one of a delegation of Group of 8 Vice-Chancellors, led by Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull. During this trip we will be investigating new bilateral opportunities for teaching, training and research collaborations within India’s burgeoning higher education system.

Sincerely,

Prof. Dawn Freshwater
Vice-Chancellor

Forward Focus

Growing up in Africa helped to build a strong moral and social compass for Muza Gondwe.

Muza, who works for the Minerals and Energy for Development Alliance (MEfDA) based at UWA, discovered early in her career that she was “more of a people person” and changed direction from her first degree completed in Biochemistry at Imperial College London.

Around Campus

The UWA Sport lunchtime walking group is great way to get up and get moving on your lunch break. The 30-minute walk is led by a UWA Sport Fitness Instructor and takes a different route each week to explore our beautiful campus.

The group meets each Tuesday outside the University Club amphitheatre at 12.30pm. Register your interest with Moira O'Brien-Smith.
