From your ADEPT President

For those of you that attended the Annual Conference in Manchester last week – I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did. It was a great event – we welcomed a record 160+ delegates, and there were more than 30 speakers filling 6 plenary sessions and 5 workshops. There was a real buzz and energy about the place. A highlight for me was the ‘graphic recorder’ Chris Shipton, who brilliantly captured our discussions via illustrations. Those images will be available very soon on the ADEPT website. A big thanks to our sponsors Colas, Atkins, Kier and WSP Parsons Brinckerhoff. I enjoyed catching up with many of you too.
We have another key event to look forward to – the Annual Dinner at the Royal Horseguards Hotel, London on 26th January. This remains the highlight of the ADEPT calendar, given the quality of the event itself, but also the opportunity to mingle in a more social environment with a variety of key partners and colleagues. To reserve your place at the Annual Dinner please click here. I will also be acknowledging the work of ADEPT members across the country. We introduced the Special Recognition Awards last year, and had a fantastic response. It’s simple to enter – all you need to do is submit a tweet and 500 word summary by 9th December to To find out more click here.
And although it’s still November, can I take this opportunity to wish you a very Merry Christmas and all the best for the New Year.
