What's On

The Startup Genome Global Startup Survey is now open!

We need as many people as we can to complete it to ensure we have an accurate view of the ecosystem to inform decision making and ensure the Victorian Startup Ecosystem receives the international exposure it deserves.

Have your say by completing the 15-minute survey and go in the running to win 1/10 $1000 General Assembly vouchers.

The first class of startups to go through LaunchVic's GovTech accelerator have secured $450,000 of government funds to further develop projects that are helping to identify health risks, better support hospital patients and improve safety and information on our public transport network.

Startups Sky Ledge, WeGuide and Envision Systems were the inaugural graduates, unveiling their proposed solutions with Special Minister of State, Gavin Jennings at a recent showcase.

Skalata Ventures are actively recruiting their next intake of companies for their 2020 Seed Investment Program.

The 6-month program provides practical guidance, operational support from program coaches, and up to $250K in funding and access to the Skalata network of investors, prospective customers and advisors.

Registrations are open for information sessions, one in Melbourne (6 February) and one in Sydney (7 February).

Three years ago, startups were not well understood in Victoria. While there was activity, the sector lacked support, coordination and wasn’t acknowledged for the significant role it plays in economic development.

Since then, LaunchVic has activated 110 programs supporting over 320 individual startups and up-skilling more than 4,800 aspiring entrepreneurs. LaunchVic's Impact Report sets out the achievements of the agency since its inception.
