Melbourne will be the first city in Australia to host Change Catalyst’s world-class Tech Inclusion Conference on the 13th February 2018, direct from Silicon Valley as part of a new partnership agreement with LaunchVic.
Change Catalyst, who partners with the tech community to solve diversity and inclusion through conferences, career fairs, strategic consulting and training, has worked with hundreds of tech companies and startups globally, including the likes of Google, Reddit, Asana, Capital One, NBC Universal and Yelp.

LaunchVic has signed a two-year $300,000 sponsorship deal with Pause Fest to deliver Australia's premier creative, tech and business event in Melbourne.
The Pause Fest 2018 Program will feature more than 150 global leaders discussing smart future, diversity, virtual reality, artificial intelligence, digital culture, blockchain and brands and marketing.
The festival runs from 7-11 February at Federation Square, Melbourne.

This year LaunchVic will be funding Founder Education in seven different program areas identified by LaunchVic through research and consultation with founders.
These programs are intended to be run as workshops or short courses, targeted towards founders who are time poor and are not currently in accelerator programs.
The Founder Education funding round is in the final stages of assessment and will be announced shortly.

Local councils across Victoria are being given the tools to identify and tap into startup activity through a new Startup Guide and Toolkit for Local Government. Supporting this is funding for councils to support and develop their local startup communities.
