The Adoptive and Foster Family Coalition of New York (AFFCNY) is looking for an Executive Director. The AFFCNY is a not-for-profit organization with offices in New Paltz, Amityville and Pomona, whose mission is to unite foster, adoptive and kinship care families, giving them a voice and providing support, information and advocacy. The candidate should have strong leadership, management and communication skills, have experience in development, financial management, and reporting to a board of directors. Personal experience with foster care, kinship and/or adoption preferred as is an advanced degree in a human services or related field. Rising Ground is hiring a Co-Parenting Facilitator. This facilitator will work as team member of the Family Foster Care program to elevate co-parenting between foster parent and parent/caretaker to promote more successful family reunification as we seek to transform the traditionally perceived role of foster parents. The facilitator will build the connection between these adults in a child’s life, and position the foster parent as a mentor and support to parents whose children are temporarily in foster care.
