It's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas, as they say! And we're working hard to make it a great one for you! Look out for our Christmas specials like the Brie a la Truffe, Brillat Savarin a la Truffe and a 30 months aged Comté that we've got coming in this week. And that's not all – we also have baby truckles of Colston Bassett Stilton, Tête de Moine and Keen's Cheddar if you're looking for an impressive table centrepiece!
As you can see from the pic of Edinburgh, we're getting stocked up nicely!
Just a reminder that we're now open until 6pm in the run up to Christmas (except Sunday 12 when it's 5pm) and that the cut-off date for Christmas pre-orders is December 14. Delivery or collection is available on all orders and you can collect from our shops in Glasgow or Edinburgh from Friday December 17 to Christmas Eve. Please tell us on the pre-order form what day you are coming to collect. If you want us to deliver your order we will do our very best to get it to you on the date you have requested. Please note that December 17 will be the last date for despatch to the Highlands and Islands and December 20 for the rest of the UK.
All the best in cheese George Mewes
Cheese Selections of the Week
If you're wishing that someone would take just a bit of the Christmas planning off your hands, then don't worry, we've got your cheese covered! With our carefully curated selections, all personally picked by George, you just have to choose a package and a selection of top-tasting artisan cheese will be ready for collection when you want it. No bother, no fuss!
One tricky one we can navigate for you is our Vegetarian Selection, pictured above. All the cheeses are made without animal rennet and for a bargain £35 you get 200g each of tangy and tasty Black Bomber, buttery and rich Cashel Blue, fudgy and sweet Ayrshire Dunlop, smooth and crumbly Bonnet (goat), soft and smelly Minger, and the seriously runny taste sensation Winslade. We think you'll agree that this package will be enjoyed by veggies and non-veggies alike!
Or how about the Cheesemonger's Choice, below?
A bit more pricey at £50, but look at what you get – 200g each of spicy and powerful Pecorino Sardo, traditional Colston Bassett Stilton, firm and nutty Comté, and robust and rich Montgomery's Cheddar, as well as a whole moussey and fresh goat Dorstone, a pungent and creamy Langres and a rich and earthy Tunworth.
Two amazing packages – and we're quite happy to let you take the credit for your choices! Check out our cheese selections and hampers here.
