Background on CHANGE Philanthropy

Project Scope

CHANGE Philanthropy seeks external support for our Strategic CRM Project implementation. This role will be set up as a consultant contract or temporary employment for no more than nine months depending on circumstances of the final candidate chosen. This project will enhance CHANGE Philanthropy’s contact and relationship management systems to further our strategic coalition efforts. The work is primarily focused on elevating the functionality and use of our Mailchimp CRM, including data cleaning, system design and configuration, process development and reporting to guide Mailchimp improvements. The consultant will also support administrative and design support for communication efforts within Mailchimp. 

 

The consultant or temporary employee will report to the Coalition & Convening Manager of CHANGE Philanthropy and work with other team members as needed. This contract will last between seven and nine months and requires a weekly check-in and varied weekly deliverables. The weekly work is expected to fit within a range of 15-25 hours per week, varied across the project. Work will be remote. Consultant or temporary employee must have regular access to a personal laptop or computer to complete work.

 

Deliverables plan to include:a

  • Audit of current contact database
  • Full clean of current contact database
  • Design/redesign of audience configuration
  • Develop and present data dashboard across audiences
  • Develop and present data maintenance systems
  • Support monthly newsletter design and development
  • Deepen CHANGE understanding and use of Mailchimp capacities 

 

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • Database management experience (preferred minimum of three years) with CRM & newsletter systems; preference for MailChimp experience
  • Detail oriented and able to deliver quality work within deadlines
  • A can-do attitude, problem-solving orientation, and a sense of resourcefulness
  • Adaptable: Ability to change course and support the successful completion of projects
  • Self-Motivated: Ability to work independently and exercise judgment in organizing work, establishing priorities and meeting project goals
  • Ability to relate effectively to people from diverse backgrounds and with a responsive, courteous customer service attitude
  • Commitment to CHANGE mission

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Data-lover: Passionate about data, with precise attention to detail and enthusiasm for building and maintaining systems
  • Project management, and campaign coordination skills
  • Understanding of organizational inclusion practices and racial equity in the nonprofit and/or philanthropic sector
 

Compensation

Work will be paid hourly at a rate of $25-28/hour. Across the entirety of the project $30,000 of billable hours are available.
