Among the long rolling south-facing slopes of the Stellenbosch winelands, caressed by cool coastal breezes, lies our boutique winery and vineyard. Here we produce premium, award-winning wines for the enlightened drinker.

Plato once said “No thing more excellent nor more valuable than wine was ever granted mankind by God”. This quote permeates through everything we do at Journey’s End. Our two main focuses lie in sustainable farming techniques and environmentally friendly land management – vital practises of which Plato would be proud.

It’s essential we give our vines the best soils possible, so this year Journey’s End has undergone a rigorous excavation process. Block 1B was uprooted and will lie fallow for up to 4 years before being replanted, allowing the soil to regenerate and recuperate. Soil analysis will be taking place throughout the year in order for us to pinpoint the optimum place to plant a new Cabernet Sauvignon Block. They will be the highest plantings on our farm at 365 metres above sea level. This breezy viewpoint is one of the best in the Cape and perfect for Cabernet Sauvignon.

Two years ago, we had a dream … to create a unique, wonderful and exciting tasting experience for our customers. By January the Journey’s End Lapa Safari will be up and running. A lapa is a thatched decking normally erected on, or in close proximity to, a dam – and we have 3 dams, meaning 3 Lapas with exciting tasting experiences planned for each site. From Nougat to Biltong, the pairings will wow the taste buds, caress your palate and arouse your passion for delicious Stellenbosch wine. Be sure to look out for the Journey’s End Big 5 – The Haystack Chardonnay, Single Vineyard Chardonnay and our crème de la crème The Destination Chardonnay, and reds The Griffin Syrah and the elegant Cape Doctor Cabernet Sauvignon. Available for group bookings of 6 or more. Contact for further details
