Among the long rolling south-facing slopes of the Stellenbosch winelands, caressed by cool coastal breezes, lies our boutique winery and vineyard. Here we produce premium, award-winning wines for the enlightened drinker.

With the dreaded B word looming and customers and consumers stock piling, 2019 is shaping up to be a very important and influential year for the wine trade. The current feeling seems to be one of hope that we all get through this turbulent process in one piece!

Unlike Mrs Mays obstructed plans of how the UK will be leaving the EU, we have a very secure plan in place that will cement our position in Europe as one of South Africa’s leading premium producers. After plenty of tastings on the continent we’re delighted that our friends and neighbours in Holland, Belgium and Eastern Europe will be able to enjoy Journey’s End for years to come. Our wine can now be drunk all over Europe and we wouldn’t have it any other way. Details of where to find us:

As a wine producer and global brand we’re constantly evolving and moving forward. After 10 successful years of infiltrating markets with our traditionally packed products, 2019 will witness a Journeys End face-lift with some quirky, exciting and chic labels coming into the market from April onwards. The reason for a change? We have built a dynamic, youthful and exuberant team over the past 3 years and our wines have grown from strength to strength. The new packaging will better represent the people behind the brand and the  delicious wines and unique profiles we produce. Below are a few snapshots of the new packaging.

One last snippet of exciting news for you: we are launching a brand-new wine under the JE range… the V5 Cabernet Franc 2017! Winemaker Mike Dawson describes the wine: ‘It exhibits Mediterranean minerality, savoury spice and coastal Freshness with soft but lengthy tannins. A medium bodied wine displaying olive, wild fynbos, a sweet cinnamon spice with a prolonged ripe cherry finish. Best drunk now until 2027.’ With Stellenbosch playing home to some of the best Bordeaux components in South Africa, we felt it only apt to produce this wine.

Our vineyard’s proximity to False Bay means we have a unique winemaking climate, with cooler evenings and hot dry days. Producing wine in a diurnal temperature variation zone enables us to make the very best wines, grown on a variety of soils whilst being farmed with a real focus on minimal intervention. This exciting, unique and delicious wine will be available from June 2019 onwards.

We’d like to wish the Shropshire youth cricket team all the best for their South Africa cricket tour! We have sponsored the team and hope that wearing our JE branded tops brings them every success.
