DotAsia Organisation is dedicated to its mandate of promoting Internet development and adoption in Asia.Following the DotAsia vision of a collaborative Asia, we believe in community engagement and contribution and in partnerships with not-for-profit organizations to implement community projects.

From bushfires in Brazil, the United States and Australia to locust infestations across East Africa to the ongoing global disease pandemic, demonstrate the interdependence of humans and the webs of life in which they exist. Nature is sending us a message.

It’s time to wake up. To take notice. To raise our voices. It’s time to build back better for People and Planet!

APrIGF going virtual

Due to the uncertain situation of COVID-19 pandemic, it has been decided that the 11th Asia Pacific Regional Internet Governance Forum will be held as a virtual event, in lieu of a physical conference, on 27-30 September 2020. Although we are aware that an online conference cannot replace the face-to-face opportunity for the community to connect and share, the MSG still aims to provide a safe yet engaging experience to cope with difficult times.

Participants (including those who signed up for the physical event before) should register here: http://2020.aprigf.asia

Note: Only pre-registrants will receive links to the virtual rooms and passwords in order to join the sessions.

Should you have any queries, please contact the secretariat at sec@aprigf.asia.

Together, we stand in solidarity.

As an organization and a community, it's neve easy to see racism and violence committed against someone because of the colour of their skin.

As Asian Pacific American Month came to an end in May, let's continue to be a model for the kind of society our world aspires to be, by taking meaningful action, and raise our voices for equality everywhere to influence the change that is so desperately needed.

#NMA of the day: Leonie from Hamburg, Germany. She is currently in her first year of the Master’s program in International affairs at Peking University for a dual degree program with the London School of Economics. She is passionate about the intersecting fields of technology, digital transformation and global politics. By getting involved in the #IntGov community, she got to learn about the global internet governance structures, institutions and approaches from an Asia-Pacific perspective. We’re looking forward to making our community great together.

Since May 2019, the DotAsia Board has appointed a Meeting Chair at every Board Meeting and I have had the honour to have continuously taken the role of the Chair since then. After a year's work, the DotAsia Board adopted five foundational governance documents recently.

As one of the Board members who have served since the incorporation of the organisation in 2006, I believe this is a historical milestone for DotAsia.

It is ultimately important to continue to earn DotAsia Members' and Supporters' trust.

To reinforce this "must-do", the Board has been heavily engaged in efforts to enhance the transparency and accountability of the organisation.

Since I am going to step down from the Board at the end of June, 2020, This is the first and last "Chair Remarks" from me.

I would like to ask whole DotAsia community to keep being involved in and support the activities of DotAsia which promote Internet development and adoption in Asia.
