In 2022, the APH Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) committee was installed, following the APH co-funded project i-Act: 'Co-designing actions supporting racial justice driving inclusive implementation science – aiming to co-create actions for APH research institute'.
This committee strives to co-create actions to promote an inclusive working climate and inclusive scientific research within APH and beyond. They are still looking for enthusiastic members to join. If you would like to join the committee or have any questions, please get in touch with the DEI committee.

Amsterdam UMC PhD Scholarships
In 2023, five Amsterdam UMC PhD Scholarships will be awarded to excellent students in Medicine, Medical Informatics, Biomedical Sciences or Social Sciences.
The Amsterdam PhD scholarships are financed from core government funding. The amount of the scholarship (271k) covers most of the costs of a four-year appointment as Research Trainee (Onderzoeker in Opleiding) at Amsterdam UMC. Interested? The Amsterdam Public Health research institute organizes onboarding meetings for new APH researchers every three months. The main goal of the onboarding meeting is getting to know the research institute and fellow APH researchers better.
We will inform you about APH and its assets and explain how you can contribute and benefit from your affiliation to APH. It is a diverse afternoon and a great opportunity to meet fellow APH researchers.
