In the project Woman and Health, a collaboration between the department participation and diversity of the Amsterdam UMC, Doctors of the World Netherlands, Centre Sexual Violence, Edu4u and Nisa for Nisa, we have developed and evaluated support groups together with women for women with a refugee background who have experienced sexual and/or gender based violence.

In these support groups women discuss important themes with each other, such as life in the Netherlands, parenting, relationships, health and what violence is. In addition, women are introduced to various agencies, such as the 'Blijfgroep', the CSG and ARQ45.

The Amsterdam Public Health research institute organizes onboarding meetings for new APH researchers every three months. The main goal of the onboarding meeting is getting to know the research institute and fellow APH researchers better. 

We will inform you about APH and its assets and explain how you can contribute and benefit from your affiliation to APH. It is an entertaining and diverse afternoon and a great opportunity to meet fellow APH researchers.

On Wednesday 11 and Thursday 12 May the CaRe days 2022 will be held in Eindhoven. 
Registration for the CaRe days is still open and free. Furthermore, PhD students and junior researchers who attend both days are offered a free overnight stay. The number of available rooms is limited (max. 100), so rooms are assigned on a first-come-first-serve basis.
