SPRING 2017 NEWSLETTER
"Volunteers don't necessarily have the time, they just have the heart."
- Elizabeth Andrew

Oh what a night! On March 22nd we gathered to celebrate the tremendous efforts of our volunteers in 2016. Over 10, 670.80 hours were accumulated by 433 individual volunteers. WOW! According to the Independent Sector of Oregon, the value of a volunteer hour is $23.56 so this would be equal to $251,404 donated towards our mission: eliminating substandard housing in our community. Everything that we do: the homes that are built, the Brush With Kindness acts that are performed, the items sold at our ReStore are all largely due to the people that step up to volunteer. They come from a myriad of backgrounds and possess the most giving and selfless hearts. We thoroughly enjoyed celebrating each one of them that were able to attend and missed those who could not be with us. If you would like to join our organization as a volunteer, please contact us! Please check our Facebook page for a listing of area businesses that sponsored our event.
