Letter from the Editor

Hello. Welcome to the latest edition of the OneSTL Newsletter. Over the last year a lot of work has gone into setting up a framework to help the many organizations across the region achieve the goals outlined in the OneSTL Plan.  In the article below on the OneSTL Network you’ll see how we are structuring activities and how you can get involved.  We’ve also been working with partners on two new initiatives.  See the articles below on Conferences and the Sustainable Projects Marketplace.  If you have any questions, concerns, comments or suggestions, please leave us a note on the OneSTL Contact Us page.  Thank You.

The OneSTL Network

The OneSTL Network was created in 2013 as a mechanism to keep in touch with the hundreds of people that were involved with creating the OneSTL Plan.  The OneSTL Network now consists of a series of sub-networks designed to facilitate implementation by offering support to organizations working on sustainability.

The OneSTL Report to the Region is an annual publication that summarizes the region's progress in meeting the goals and objectives of the plan.  The Report includes a selected list of the performance indicators on the website and highlights from OneSTL Network members on what they are doing to make the St. Louis region more sustainable.

Sustainable Projects Marketplace

Launched in 2015, the Sustainable Projects Marketplace is a searchable database for sustainability projects in the St. Louis Region. Its purpose is to connect people working to implement projects with people who have resources to help get those projects completed.

Sustainability Conferences

The 2017 New Partners for Smart Growth national conference will be taking place February 2-4 at the downtown Marriott St. Louis Hotel.  Several OneSTL Network members are sitting on the Local Planning Committee.  The Smart Growth Conference is a national event, but it is a great opportunity to highlight the good work happening in our region as well as learn from national experts.  A call for session proposals is now open.

Several organizations are also collaborating on throwing a regional sustainability summit in the winter of 2017.  The summit will build upon discussions that take place at the Smart Growth conference with a focus on how we can accomplish more in the St. Louis region.  More information will be passed on as it becomes available, so keep an eye on the OneSTL Newsletter and the Get Involved tab on
