We did quite a bit of travel in September. First stop was St. Louis Christian College. Highlights from that visit were speaking with a wounded warrior who was medically discharged due to his wounds after 16 years of service. He is at St. Louis Christian College preparing to become a VA Chaplain. I also spoke with a woman who was already working in a hospital but sees the need for more hospital chaplains and is preparing for Hospital Chaplaincy.

We continued Southwest to Ozark Christian College. We had a great visit there. Several young people with rich family histories of military service stopped to talk about their interest in chaplaincy. We always have bibles with military covers on our display table. One young man walked past and exclaimed, 'O my gosh, I never thought I would see one of these again.' Upon further investigation, I found that his grandfather had given this young man his Army camouflage New Testament before he died. The young man had lost it during the tornado that hit Joplin a few years prior. He asked if he could have one and of course we were honored to give him one.

The college was having a luncheon for all college staff members while we visited and they offered me the opportunity to speak about what the Chaplaincy Endorsement Commission is all about and what it can do for their students.

We we able to stay with long time friend and Christ in Youth (CIY) Missions leader, Pat Fancher. Pat recently lost her husband Bob. She asked us to speak to a grief group after their dinner. It was a pleasure to help these women along in their grieving process.

We had been invited to Academy Christian Church for their Missions Fair, so we headed West for Colorado Springs.
We set up our display and participated in the fair over the weekend. We were also able to spend some quality time with Commissioner Richard Crabtree and long time CEC supporter David Wright.
