The Association of Professional Chaplains Conference was the big event for June. The Association is primarily made up of Hospital and Hospice Chaplains, but also provides accreditation for a growing number of Corporate Chaplains.
During the conference Endorsers, by tradition host a breakfast for their faith group. Cindy and I hosted one for the Christian Churches and Churches of Christ. We were joined by Anthony Silano from Honolulu, HI., Dennis Smith from Lincoln, NE., Andy Simkins from Avon, Indiana and David Hall pictured below.

We had a great time of fellowship at the conference and the chaplains expressed a desire to continue our collegiality online.
It was a great opportunity for me to learn about the Hospital, Hospice and Corporate ministries our chaplains are involved in. There are many similarities to ministry in the military, but also some distinct differences. I was grateful for the opportunity to get to know our chaplains and the intricacies of their unique ministries.
Much of June was taken up in preparation for the NACC. During the NACC the Commissioners hold their annual business meeting and we host an open meeting for the chaplains and any other interested parties. This year Paul Boatman will present on Compassion Fatigue.
We continue to process packets for endorsement and respond to a great deal of interest in chaplaincy and the Endorsement Commission.
Grace and Peace,
Kal
