Thank you to our signatories

We want to thank all the organisations that have made a donation towards the administration of the UN Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs) in New Zealand this year. Your contributions enable us to administer and promote the WEPs in New Zealand and to expand the number of signatories.
We congratulate you on your commitment to the WEPs and for being part of a global initiative for gender equity.  Over 1,850 business leaders around the world have signed up to the WEPs and over fifty business leaders in New Zealand.
Signatory donations enable us to fund the role of our WEPs administrator, Gen Brown, hold events throughout the country, administer our website, administer our annual survey and White Camellia Awards night plus expand the resources we make available to our signatories.
Check out our calendar for the timeline leading up to our White Camellia Awards.
Reports on our recent panel events on sexual harassment and our recent launch of WEPs in Dunedin will be coming shortly.

Women’s Empowerment Principles Annual Survey opening 18th June!
The NZ UN WEPs committee will be sending out its annual survey to signatories on the 18th June and we encourage all signatories to use the opportunity to reflect on their organisations progress towards gender equity.  It’s a great tool to assist companies measure, reflect and set targets for the coming year.
We are very grateful for the sponsorship of the NZ Work Research Institute who will host the survey and analyse and report on the results.  Our thanks go to Professor Gail Pacheco and Professor Jarrod Haar, from the Faculty of Business, Auckland University of Technology, for their assistance.
The survey will include both quantitative and qualitative questions and is intended to provide useful data on the strategies organisations are using to address the empowerment of women in their workplace.  All data provided by participants is submitted on a strictly confidential basis.  The resulting report does not attribute particular information to an individual organisation.
The survey will close on Monday 16 July.
Make sure you are in Auckland for our White Camellia Awards event on September 4th!
The 2018 White Camellia awards event will be hosted by the Governor General, Dame Patsy Reddy, at Government House Auckland on
Tuesday September 4th from 6.00pm to 8.30pm.
This will be a wonderful evening honouring those businesses which are promoting gender equity through the Women’s Empowerment Principles.

Meanwhile keep that evening free!
