What's not to be missed at Juliet this week?

Catalonia Comes To Juliet

The second of three brand new menus for 2019, Cuina Catalana is an exciting reintroduction of the unique cuisine of Catalonia that the team behind Juliet showcased in 2015 with their temporary restaurant, Gitana, which popped up for two months in the entryway to Somerville gem, Once Lounge.

The release of Cuina Catalana: alchemy of tradition and innovation is a huge step forward for this now three year old company, with roots in some of the chef’s favorite cuisine and flavors, as bold as they are simple, fresh, and delicious.

Catalonia has long been a place of magic and mystery, paired with a sort of nonchalant approach to eating, working, and living. Like the exploding olives on your plate for dinner are just another detail of the day, as ordinary as the simply grilled shellfish and lemons you had for late breakfast, or the Jamon you had for lunch.

Catalonia is the place of the Adria’s, but also Salvador Dali, and Gaudi. In Catalonia, churches melt, upwards from the ground, suspended in reverse (seriously, look it up), while the collective imagination, focused through the lens of its artists and chefs makes anything possible.

New Items In The Cafe

The return of the Juliet Nicoise Salad. This has been a staple of our summer menu for the past two years, and it's back!

Housemade tuna conserva is paired with tomatoes, pickled green beans, potatoes and a soft-boiled egg. It's a perfect light summer meal or a great appetizer to share.

We have a little magazine called of Juliet. Content is available online here. We offer a pay-what-you can subscription that goes directly to contributors but you can also read for free too. Take a listen.

Speaking of Katie, she and our Communications Manager, Sam Mangino were interviewed for Toast's podcast The Garnish. The episode is all about gratuity-free restaurants, and we’re excited to have Sam and Katie share their experiences at Juliet.

Our space will transform next week as Catalonia takes over. We’re diving in and embracing the alchemy of tradition and innovation. We can’t wait to share it with you. Book now.
