CEO Corner

Thank you to our Estes Park partners who took the time to visit Denver for Tourism Day at the Capitol and the TIAC Legislative Reception. We all enjoyed quality time with state legislators advocating on your behalf as we promoted tourism and Estes Park's continued focus and investment in the destination industry.
You are invited to the Estes Area Lodging Association Member Dinner on February 22 where I will be presenting a Visit Estes Park update. You can learn more about how we are supporting a growing year-round economy, winter campaign & Highway 34 campaign updates, and where we are headed.  This will be a fun and video-filled presentation that will be interesting and entertaining.  Please email me for more details including how to RSVP.
We have heard from many of you and others in the community how much you are enjoying the 2017 Official Estes Park Visitor Guide.  Believe it or not, we are currently designing the 2018 Visitor Guide, so we need your input.  Please share with us what additions, changes, and improvements we can make to the current guide to make 2018 even better.  Don't be shy, we value your input! Feel free to email me, thank you!

The Ultimate Guide to Brand Messaging

February 22, 2017. 9:30 a.m. Inkwell & Brew.
Once you’ve identified your brand – your Unique Selling Proposition – the next step is developing the “messaging” or how to portray your brand to the world. In this fast-paced workshop you’ll learn:

  • How to “own” your brand in short order (what used to take years can now be done in months)
  • What to say and how to say it (using several real-life examples) so it sticks
  • The importance of the written and spoken word in branding (your brand is more than graphic design)
  • Finding expertise in brand messaging AND graphic design

We’ll also cover the topic of “bridge brands.” What do you say when you may not yet “own” your brand, but are developing it? How do you “bridge” that gap. RSVP.

Do you offer Birding Tours?

Visit Estes Park is taking an inventory of all businesses who offer birding tours. Please contact Abi if you do!

Fire Fighter Association

The Estes Valley Fire Protection District will be hosting the 100th Colorado State Fire Fighter Association Fire College June 13-17, 2017 here in Estes Park.  This event will draw between 200-300 firefighters and their families from all over Colorado to Estes Park.  If you would like to contribute a goody for the bag, coupon or discount, please contact Erika Goetz.

Whiskey Warm Up

Whiskey Warm Up is just about a month away (March 11)! The Estes Park Events Complex Staff is looking for your help. They are seeking complimentary lodging to offer to vendors, as well as restaurants for food pairings with the whiskey. Local restaurants are also encouraged to have Whiskey themed meals at their business during the weekend to add to the event! Contact Kevin Benes to get involved!
