Holiday Message from Ted Carroll

"In this holiday season, we are feeling deeply grateful to you and other friends of LGH. Your support this year made it possible for us to serve the community by strengthening and connecting nearly 3,000 diverse leaders from more than 100 different organizations.  Click here  for more details about what you helped LGH accomplish in 2016.

Working together, we are lowering the barriers that separate us and making progress in creating a community that works for all who live and work in Greater Hartford.  In this cause, we are pleased to have the support of Mayor Luke Bronin of Hartford whose 40th anniversary congratulatory message at this year’s Polaris Awards has helped to inspire us for another 40 years."

“At a time when society is experiencing so many fault lines, Leadership Greater Hartford is unified in its commitment to build strong communities throughout Greater Hartford.”  Luke Bronin, November 15, 2016

Last Chance to Apply for Leading Off Campus!

Are you a college student leader looking to take your leadership to the next level? Or do you know a student who fits this description?

Leading Off Campus provides college students with an opportunity to engage with diverse student leaders from other area colleges and universities and build additional credentials beyond their classroom experiences. It helps introduce them to the many ways leadership takes shape outside their academic world, and teaches them as much about the community as it does about themselves.

Help empower a college student you know to continue their leadership journey!  We are now accepting applications for the 2017 class of Leading Off Campus which will begin on February 3, 2017.

Our nonprofit partners are seeking new board members. If you or someone you know is interested in serving on a nonprofit board, the first step is to attend an Orientation workshop. There is no cost to individuals to participate in the Orientation Workshop, but registration is necessary.

The next Orientation Workshop is on January 10, 5:15 - 7:30 p.m.

After this training, participants can purchase an "Express Pass" for $20 which entitles them to participate in an unlimited number of Express Matches where they meet nonprofit organizations seeking new board members and have a chance to win a gift card to a Hartford treasure!

The next Express Match is January 25, 5:30 - 8:30 p.m.
