At OpenStreetMap Belgium, we're still exhilarated from the State of the Map in Brussels. We had the chance to meet 400 people from all over the world who are just as crazy about mapping as we are. And just as important: the Belgian OSM community got to know each other. 20 Belgian volunteers supported a very successful event. Uncut videos are available here.

Have a drink with us
For a chance to meet some mappers, talk about geo related problem or projects, join us at the next meetup in Brussels. It will be on Tuesday, 18th October. More information on our meetup page.

Come map for good with us
Join us at the next Missing Maps Mapathon in Antwerp on Wednesday, 26th October for some humanitarian mapping.
During Missing Maps Mapathons, we use satellite imagery to map parts of the world where NGOs like Doctors Without Borders are planning humanitarian missions that require a good map, but where such maps are not available. We try to make it easy for everyone to come and map - a lot of participants are new to OSM. It's a great place to learn more about (and help) humanitarian projects, up your mapping game or make (your first) contributions to OSM!

This Mapathon will be hosted by IPIS, an Antwerp-based NGO focusing on conflict mapping and peace-related subjects. The event is of course free, but registration is required.
