Reduced Cost Parking on Sundays!
The Business Improvement District has been working with Tunbridge Wells Borough Council to introduce parking concessions, aimed at increasing visitor numbers and footfall.  From 1st October for a 3 month trial, the cost of parking all day on Sundays will be reduced to just £2 in 6 of the town centre's largest car parks. We are hoping to extend the scheme into the new year so please tell your customers and spread the word.  We are promoting the offer across Kent, Surrey and Sussex on social Media, radio and glossy lifestyle magazines - if you want images to include in your newsletters, let us know.
Green Light for Former Cinema Site
Elysian Residences, the owners of the former cinema site in the town centre have had their planning application approved. They intend to commence work on the site this year. They commented:  "Elysian Residences is delighted to have received planning consent to redevelop the derelict ABC Cinema site into The Belvedere, a vibrant mixed-use scheme with a new boutique cinema, as well as some shops and restaurants to better connect the high street". Mark Curry commented: “We look forward to continuing to work closely with the local community and new residents, both now and into the future, to bring our development forward and make this new destination a real success for the town.”
