ECMG's SHARK WEEK EVENTS WERE JAWsome!

Shark Week was a hit as we chomped off discounts all over the place and had great fun along the way!

Our week-long event of festivities included Virtual Reality Shark Diving Experiences, Kona Snowcones, special incentives and sales, plus much more! It was a lot of fun to see everyone get into the spirit including our social media and online contests that created terrific engagement.

We’re pleased to announce the winner of our photo contest, Angelique Cooper for her FINtastic pix!

Our Grand Finale at “Shark Island!” (Crab Island) featuring our big-screen dive-in movie with surround sound of “The Meg” drew a record-breaking 170 boats to our shark-infested showing! MARINA ANNOUNCEMENTS

Benjamin Budzinsky Appointed Dockmaster

Many ECMG customers know and recognize Ben Budzinsky who is a popular personality and long-term fixture at this facility. Ben has recently been promoted to Dockmaster at ECMG and will oversee all dock staff and dock operations. We knew the ECMG family would want to join us in recognizing Ben and celebrating his achievement!

Ben’s boating industry career was launched in 2003. He paid his dues at a local marine retailer over a 7.5-year period where he started off as a Boat Washer, assisting with daily lot operations and boat show set-up. In time, his hard work and efforts were recognized. He became a marina Dockhand, then a Forklift Operator and eventually landed a position as Marina Supervisor.

When the former Northlight Marina opened, Ben joined the team and has been here for 8.5 years. While under the management of Emerald Coast Marine, he initially worked as a service advisor prior to this recent appointment as dockmaster.

“I’m really excited about my new position and the opportunity to work directly on the water with our clients,” said Ben. “My goal is to help our clients thoroughly enjoy the boating experience so they can make lifetime memories here.”

Added ECMG President Shawn Talpey, “Everyone who knows Ben just really respects him. He brings such passion to his work and such a high level of commitment to our customers. We felt this was the perfect role and opportunity for Ben, and we’re excited to see him take on this expanded role.”

Like many in the area, Ben is a proud military (Navy) brat whose family traveled the world prior to settling down in the Emerald Coast. He and his wife of 20 years have two kids including a daughter who has just started college and a son who is in his junior year of high school. He and his family enjoy boating and the great outdoors, cooking and cheering for the Seminoles.

TRACI POLK

Assistant Service Manager

Prior to joining Emerald Coast Marine as our Assistant Service Manager, Traci Polk spent 20 years in the marine industry in a variety of key retail management capacities throughout Florida.

Traci brings extensive experience and expertise to her role at ECMG, having served as general manager, service manager, inventory manager and sales/consignment manager for multiple leading dealerships. She is also a licensed yacht broker.

Traci is very happy to be part of the ECMG Team and to assist customers with their service needs.

“We’re fortunate to have someone with Traci’s experience as part of our organization, coupled with her high level of and commitment to customer service,” said ECMG President Shawn Talpey. “She is very dedicated and a hard worker, and we’re thrilled to have her aboard.”

Traci is very happily married to husband Nick Malambri and is a devoted mom to three lively labs: Star, Summit and Sedona. Besides boating, you can likely find Traci and Nick enjoying snorkeling adventures, hiking great destinations throughout the country, shooting awesome landscape photography or tending to their bees. Traci is also an American Fitness Professional and a certified holistic nutritionist.
