Message from the Principal
The days are getting longer and the weather is unpredictable as usual. March also brings with it a shift in activities. Basketball and cross country skiing have finished up, with badminton already on the go and Track and Field following closely. March also brings our second report card, and our second set of student led conferences.
This year we will also be collecting information from students, staff and parents through a survey called Our School (formerly, Tell Them From Me). This survey allows us to access the various voices of College Park School and gives us valuable information about how we are doing as a school community. Parents will be receiving an email with information as to how to access the survey. Please take the time to fill out the survey as it really provides us with a great deal of information and allows us to improve what we do in the service of your children.
As the weather warms and the snow melts students will be spending more time outside at breaks including the noon hour. Students in grades 7, 8 or 9, who have parent permission, are able to leave campus. This is a friendly reminder that this privilege comes with the responsibility of being a good neighbour and ensuring a prompt return to College Park.
Also, I wanted to thank the parents who are being diligent about dropping off and picking up in the parent drop off zone. Keeping our staff parking area and bus lanes free of traffic (moving or parked) is making our school a less congested and safer area for our students, your children.
Congratulations to all basketball team members on our boys and girls teams. You represented College Park very well with a competitive attitude and sportsmanship. Many coaches and referees mentioned how they appreciated your behaviour.
Enjoy the spring season.
