Lou Reda’s Team to Launch The Tap @ 1918 at Rocky Mount Mills!
Beloved local restaurateurs Lou Reda and Justin Gaines will bring a new, upscale modern American tavern concept to Rocky Mount Mills in spring 2017!
Dubbed The Tap @ 1918 (named for the year the building they’ll occupy was built) will feature classic tavern favorites like burgers, fish and chips while also venturing out into dishes not currently seen in the Rocky Mount community like wild game and bone marrow.
“Our goal is to create a restaurant that is high end in the quality of food we’ll be serving but definitely approachable by price and appearance,” says Justin Gaines, co-owner. “We want The Tap to be a spot where you come to celebrate, bring your friends to watch the game and just walk-in on a Tuesday night because you don’t want to cook.”
The restaurant will feature:
- Seating for 145-160 guests including an outdoor patio
- A full bar complete with 20 taps and a special brew created for the restaurant by Rocky Mount Mills brewer Sebastian Wolfrum
- House made pastrami, sausages and cured meats
- Televisions for watching the big game
Lots more details about the restaurant will be shared closer to the opening date this spring!
