One of my favorite things about #HD32 is that we always have each other's backs. As we have seen a recent spike in COVID-19 cases, we have to remember that one of the best ways to care for our neighbors is to wash our hands and wear masks. We must remain vigilant to save lives and to support our economy. Mask-wearing is the best evidence-based tool we have to fight the spread of this virus.
This week, we have interim committee meetings and while the Capitol complex is still closed to the public, there are still ways to virtually participate in the lawmaking process! If you would like to listen-in to the proceedings, you can find a guide HERE. If you would like to provide public comment on a bill, you can reference this guide HERE. Air Quality Update
I am honored to be a co-chair of the bipartisan Clean Air Caucus!
The September Clean Air Caucus meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, September 15, 2020 (TODAY), at 6:30 PM. The meeting will be broadcast over the Clean Air Caucus' Facebook Page that you can find HERE.
I know that the members of our community want to do their part for cleaner air, which is why I started Tier3gas.org. You can find local stations selling cleaner gas at this website.
Additionally, I wanted to share with you all that I recently filed a couple new clean air bills I intend to run next legislative session. One of them offers a tax credit for individuals who wish to purchase an electric vehicle. The other encourages the state to purchase a certain percentage electric and alternative fuel vehicles when upgrading/expanding the state fleet.
Tell neighbors why you support Suzanne!
Share a photo and a quick statement to show your support for Suzanne! We're in a tough race this year, but we can do this together.
There are a few ways you can help us out:
1) Upload a photo with a statement of support
2) Record a video and upload it (This is very helpful!)
3) BOTH! :)
I’m working hard for you in the Utah Legislature with a track record of effective leadership and responsiveness. I would be honored to continue to be your voice. We're gearing up for our campaign this fall and would love to have you be part of our team!
