AS A MAN THINKETH
The past, nearly, two years have tested our resilience to an extent that few of us have experienced in our lives. The doom and gloom that we experienced in all walks of life nearly overwhelmed many of us.
Scripture is filled with promises of overcoming difficult times, it is however not only our faith life, but also our thought life that determines how we cope with such times. We form pictures of the future based on our interpretation of the past and the present. If we have a negative perception of the present we often get to a point where we think destructively about the future. We then live with dread and a negative expectation.
Our attitudes play a significant role in how we approach life, what we expect and how we plan to achieve it. It is no wonder that if you look at many successful people in different industries and occupations that they had a positive attitude about life and the expectation that things will turn out for good; even in very difficult times.
POPUP went through a season, like many other organisations in our country, where the level of uncertainty was at times inconceivable. We however decided to trust God for wisdom and a strategy to take us forward to reach more people who desperately need hope.
He was faithful and we were able to implement a new strategy over the past 18 months. This strategy empowered us to establish more centres and we now have eight in South Africa. Four in Tshwane, one each in Gqberha, Krugersdorp, Bloemfontein and Somerset West.
POPUP has the capacity to have an impact in more lives than ever before and we are looking forward to the new season of learners discovering their true identity. These learners will experience that they are deeply loved, highly favoured and richly blessed by a heavenly Father that is passionate about them.
I would like to use this opportunity to thank the team at POPUP, our funders, the board of directors and everybody who supported POPUP for their dedication and investment in POPUP. We are truly blessed to have so many wonderful people impacting our communities.
