New Administrative Assistant at Alberta Conference Office

Nanette Quines was born and raised in the Philippines. She attended Adventist schools from elementary to high school and college, where she was trained and molded to have a heart and passion for service. She graduated with two Bachelor degrees from Adventist University of the Philippines (Bachelor of Science in Commerce major in Marketing and Bachelor of Science in Commerce major in Management). Her opportunity to work in the Philippines, Dubai, and Canada set out a broader understanding and appreciation of different cultures. She has ten years experience in customer service and six years in Accounting and Finance. 

She is an active member and elder of Red Deer SDA church manifesting leadership and example to the community. Her zest and commitment for service inspired her to lead different departments in the church. Nanette is married to Ritchie Quines. They have been blessed with two children, London (10) and Chloe (6).  


You are an invaluable part of the mission of It Is Written Canada, and meeting with you and showing you the results of your commitment is a vital component of this media and evangelism ministry. AB Conference Office of Education Prayer Request

The Alberta Conference Office of Education would like to encourage all churches to earnestly pray for our schools across the province as we begin a new school year, keeping in mind our principals, teachers, staff, volunteers, students and families.  We are in an unprecedented time and we need to meet it with unceasing prayer.  We appreciate all the support that our schools are given and we thank you in advance for interceding. May the arms of God keep us close and safe as we journey forward together.

NAD Executive Committee Recommends Name for New Division Secretary

The Executive Committee of the North American Division (NAD) of the Seventh-day Adventist Church voted on August 18, 2020, to recommend the name of Kyoshin Ahn for the position of NAD executive secretary. Read more at

SAGE Alberta Workbees

SAGEAlberta has been invited to participate in two work days: August 23 at College Heights Christian School and August 30 at Mamawi Atosketan Native School. Each day begins with worship at 8:30 a.m. in the school gym, and work beginning at 9:00 a.m. We are asking you to please bring your own lunch. SAGE will supply face masks for all participants.
