Management Committee – new members needed

We are looking for new committee members – who can connect, communicate and be proactive

We need to fill the roles of Treasurer and Secretary.  However, people are needed in addition to these roles.

Whilst our preference is that Committee Members are from the families and members of ADSA, our intention is to make a rule change at the AGM to accommodate those with skills and passion for our community.

You will need:
  • A great attitude – and ability to connect, communicate and be proactive.
  • Preferably a background and/or personal experience within the disability sector.
  • To have experience in a relevant field – eg, finance, fundraising, communications
  • To be available for all meetings (unless exceptional circumstances exist).
  • To be willing and able to pitch in as required.
If you are interested or know someone who might be please complete this nomination form Management Committee Nomination Form. If you would like to find out more about being on the committee, please contact Maia Faulkner our Chairperson (chairperson@adsa.org.nz).

🏆Community Service Award – NOMINATIONS🏆

Don’t forget we need your nominations for the Community Service Award which is presented at our AGM.  The Community Service Award is given to someone outside of our organisation – who has gone “above and beyond” to support our community – and who has a positive impact on the lives of people with Down syndrome in Auckland (eg. a therapist, a professional, a sports coach, a teacher).

We invite you to have a think about the last 12 months – and to make a nomination. You need to show that the person you are nominating has impacted more than one family, and ideally try and get a few other members to join you in the nomination. If you would like to nominate someone, Please download the form here and return to Xuan (adminsupport@adsa.org.nz ). Nominations close 31 Aug 2022.
