If you are around my age, you probably remember Schoolhouse Rock and a particular song from that series - it's called "Three Is A Magic Number".
That happens to be true in my case because I have three big creations coming forth from the jumble inside my head. First, there is a book collection of my webcomic, Poison Ivy Gulch. That won't be for a while though; a Kickstarter for that won't be until 2022. I'll have more news on that as it develops.
What I really want to talk about today is the return of Sunnyville Stories. Yes, you read that right. After hiatus, I have a big plan for Sunnyville. Later on next year, in either June or September, I will do a reprint of the Sunnyville books! These will be different however.
Instead of the big 8.25 x 10.75 book size, I'm going for a digest size paperback of about 5.5 x 8.5 inches. The first book will be titled "Sunnyville Stories: Beginnings". The plan at this time (subject to change) will be to reprint the first four stories of Sunnyville - Beginnings, Multiball Madness, The Train Robbers and Don't Answer Me. But that's not all.
There will be ALL NEW segments set in-between each story that I will be writing and drawing. I thought it would be fun to show Rusty just before he moved to Sunnyville or Sam showing him around town. On top of that, I will be going back and redrawing some parts of the comics. The first story in particular is showing its age as it was drawn when my art skills were much weaker.
Just so that we are clear, I will be redrawing panels, character or even whole pages BUT I WILL NOT BE REDRAWING THE WHOLE COMIC! That would be too time consuming. I should have more news on that as it developed so stay tuned for that.
Lastly, I want to remind everyone of my next Kickstarter launching on January 6, 2021. It is for Hilda & Richie, my first picture book. In fact, here is a special sneak peek at something - I had a designer design a cover logo and title based on my artwork.
Check it out here!
That's it for now!
