Phase 4 – Night time footway surfacing planned
As we now enter the final days of the construction programme we have commenced the resin footway surfacing along Suffield Road and Queen Alexandra Road.
To maximise the remaining time on site during the hotter daytime temperatures in the coming days, Eurovia will extend its normal weekday working hours until the late cooler evenings from tonight to ensure a high quality finish to the footway is achieved with minimal noise and vibration impact to nearby residents.
Areas where of the footway is being resurfaced will need to be temporarily closed to pedestrians whilst these works are underway and to ensure a safe route for pedestrians through the works. Additionally, as the remaining works are primarily confined to the footway, minimal traffic management will be required on the road during these times.
Road surfacing completed outside the hospital entrance
New informal pedestrian crossing constructed and lighting column installed between the hospital and BNU.
Access to the school, residential properties, university, hospital and emergency vehicles during roadworks
We would like to reassure you that access to all the stakeholders will continue to be maintained  during the roadworks. On site our traffic management team will ensure that all emergency vehicles have priority access to and from the hospital where necessary. For all stakeholders in the area affected by the footway surfacing we will ensure they have access to frontages including visitors and deliveries.
Please contact our Joanne Plews our Public Liaison Officer directly (details below) if you have any issues or concerns about your access ahead of the final phases of the work.
