A40 London Road Corridor Improvements Project

Bulletin #004 - 14/06/2019
A40 London Road Corridor Improvements Project- Consultation NOW LIVE
Buckinghamshire County Council (BCC) is consulting on junction improvement works along the A40 London Road corridor in order to  ease congestion, reduce delays and improve journey time reliability. Engineers plan to tackle this through introducing new and upgraded technology to control traffic, widen the road in some places, create dedicated spaces for right turning traffic, improve pedestrian crossings, relocate bus stops, introduce real-time travel information and move some lengths of bus lane to where they will be most effective. Pedestrian crossings will be upgraded with new and more efficient equipment, variable message signs will provide drivers with improved travel information, and cameras will monitor traffic flows so that adjustments can be made to traffic control and up to date accurate information provided to drivers in the event of incidents such as M40 closures, crashes or broken down vehicles which may be affecting traffic flow.
We would like to invite you to let us have your views by taking part in the consultation, which is open for comments from today until Friday 12 July 2019.
