direct from our farmers this week:
mushrooms, mutton and mmmm...potatoes

Enoki mushrooms: The Mushroom Co have been working on enoki production lately.  Pick up some bunches of these thread-like mushrooms to chop into tangy soup, salty noodles or soothing rice.  Find them at Eltham, where they may also have some unusual yellow enoki, grown with a little more sunlight.

Flavourful grills: Catch up with Ray-Monde Deux at Carlton for their Sunbury-reared lamb, goat and mutton – all excellent when marinated in punchy flavours for grilling or charcoal-roasting.   Their minerally rosé is pretty good with a barbecue too.

Last potatoes: It’s nearly the end of the 2019 season for Carmel Hill Potatoes.  They’ll keep attending Coburg every Saturday until Christmas and then we won’t see them again until the end of February, so stock up for summer salads while there’s still time.
