direct from our farmers this weekend:
brussels sprouts, lamb bacon and apples

Tart cookers:  Slice organic Golden Reinette or Sturmer Pippin apples into baked tarts and pies for fruit fillings that aren’t too sweet.  Choose a mix from Hazeldean Forest Farm – they’ll be at Abbotsford.

Tiny sprouts: The Brussels sprouts grown by Green Gully Organics in Macclesfield are tightly furled and compact at the moment, so they’re easy to cut in half and pan-fry or roast.  Pick up a bag Flemington this weekend.

Local lamb: Catch up with Toni from For the Love of Lamb for her famous lamb bacon as well as for grilling and slow-cooking cuts.  Get in early at St Kilda Primary this Saturday.
