direct from our producers this week:
Lady Williams, Buffalo Blue, Cumquat Crush

Langdale Orchards are coming to the end of their 2019 crop of apples and pears.  Fragrant and crisp, there are several varieties of apples still available including the deep red, tangy Lady Williams. Pick some up at University of Melbourne this week or at Castlemaine next Sunday.

New season fresh goats’ milk cheeses are starting to appear on stalls, perfect to wake up the palate. Try some from Boat Shed Cheese, and don’t miss their Buffalo Blue – a light and fresh buffalo milk cheese with a mild blue rind.  Try some at Coburg or Eltham.

Crushed bitter cumquat, sweet lemon and fragrant King Valley bergamot - Stir Crazy’s 2019 “Cumquat Crush” packs the citrus flavour of winter into a punchy cordial perfect for festivities.  Find some at Abbotsford this Saturday.
