Hello The Ones!
We hope all is well!
From poetry to side projects, here are our latest finds that have us thinking (and feeling) this week. Above all, we're all about the individual being in driving seat; proactively making choices to cultivate a life that we're each jolly well proud of. It takes time, yes, but that's what life provides - time built in to create your best work and relationships.
READ: Poetry like no other - Rupi Kaur; one line (of many) that we love, 'on the last day of love, my heart cracked inside my body.' (The Sun and Her Flowers)
Do: A fascinating essay from Maria Popova over at BrainPickings.org, (recommended by another reader, thanks Yi Ling!) on How Steinbeck Used the Diary as a Tool of Discipline, a Hedge Against Self-Doubt, and a Pacemaker for the Heartbeat of Creative Work. Read here.
Watch: We're big believers in learning and experimenting in your own time - activities, skills, interests that you want to cultivate, either because they will contribute to a side project or simply allow you to use a different part of your brain. #TheLearner was created with this exact concept in mind. This little snippet from BigThink puts this into a wider context.
That's all for now. Remember, stay curious and keep learning.
And please reply to this note and tell us what you're interested in at the moment.
