News, Updates and Events at a Glance
  • Zip Trail Update:  Trails are open and in great condition, even after the rains. They drain well and are generally good to go a couple hours after a heavy rain. Follow us on Facebook for trail updates or message/email/call with questions.
  • New Backcountry Trails: We've got a couple of new trails open in the back flowy part of the Zip system, thanks to Travis Bellman Home & Trails. They are more advanced with a number of drops and jumps. Ride with care - there is always a b-line to go around.
  • LAMBO Bike Swap Bikes Still Available! More info
  • Group Rides at the Zip are on ON! 6:30 every Thursday evening, but check Facebook for updates and alternate location every 3rd Thursday for some variety. New to the trails? Message us and we'll have someone meet you there and introduce you.
  • The Pump Track is making progress! : Phase 1 is roughed in and we're waiting for rain to compact the trails. There is still a lot of work to do, but it's coming along!
  • LAMBO is the first NSP Bike Patrol Unit in Wisconsin! More info
  • Please support us with our latest Fundraising effort, a megabuck CASH RAFFLE

The InSayner Adventure Race

LAMBO’s newest bike race was a huge success, drawing participants from all over the Midwest, and this is just the beginning.Over 120 people gathered in the small town of Sayner, WI, on Saturday, June 12th, for an adventure to remember, the first race of its kind in the Lakeland Area. This race was the brainchild of Race Director Dan Trapp and Mike Olkowski, both active members of the Lakeland Area Mountain Bike Organization (LAMBO). “It came together just as we hoped,” said Olkowsi. “I was told the pack leaders caught sight of a bear crossing the course and..." The 2nd Annual Bike and Summer Silent Sports Swap was a success! We had a lot of folks stop by with old bikes that didn't fit them and walk away with new to them bikes that fit their needs just right! Happy to see these bikes out on the trails and the Bearskin. We have a bunch of beaters left over that are still rideable and perfect for that run to town or to Charlies on the Bearskin, but they need a little love. They are are available at the LAMBO Barn at the Zip Trail head, in the back of the Northwoods Zipline parking lot. We'll have them out for one more week before donating them to the scrap metal center. If you find a bike you like please consider donation $5 to LAMBO in the red cash box at the kiosk.

Phase 1 of the Pump Track is nearly finished

We are getting there! Phase 1 is roughed in and we will be fine-tuning it now that we've had a good amount of rain to help pack down the dirt. We'll continue to work on it in coming weeks and will keep you updated. Thank you again for your donations! Stay tuned for a Grand Opening event and kids clinics!

LAMBO Bike Patrol, recently certified under the National Ski Patrol, supported its first event this month, the new InSayner! There were a couple of falls and some overheating, but luckily all participants fared well, completed the course and had a great time!
New stuff at the Zip! Two new trails are open with more drops and features. All features have a B-line to go around. Ride with care. Helmets required.
