VOLUME 1 ISSUE 18
ON THE HILL
As this will be the last newsletter before the New Year, I think it is a good time to reflect on what a wonderful year it has been.  I have had many opportunities as your Member of Parliament.  I am grateful for all of them.

These past two weeks I have been out in the community, attending many end of year events, as well as a few fundraisers like the Saskatoon Food Bank and Learning Centre and Rock 102 Stuff the Bus.  It is great to see so many people from our community come together during this time of year to help others.

Enjoy your time with family and friends, and enjoy the unseasonably warm weather.

On behalf of my staff in Saskatoon and Ottawa and my family, may your Christmas be filled with love, laughter and all the best that life has to offer!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Kevin Waugh
MP, Saskatoon-Grasswood

A local radio station will broadcast the music live; attendees will be able to view the fireworks from up and down the riverbank and listen to the soundtrack on their radio or smart phone.

Recognized as a Municipal Heritage Property in 2001 this house is known as the Alexander Residence.  The house was built during the pre-World War I boom in Saskatoon for settler Henry Bruce and was at a time owned by the Wilson Brothers who were active in the Riel Resistance of 1885.  The building is however named after its second owners, Dr. Harold E. and Edith Alexander.  Dr. Alexander was head of the Surgery department at St. Paul's Hospital and Edith served with a number of volunteer organizations throughout the city.
