Battery Recycling Program Update

THANK YOU, TENANTS for making this a remarkable trial run for our battery recycling pilot program! With the great work of the Occupational Training Center (BPS #42) students, we have now collected 5 boxes (45 lbs each) of batteries!

Working with our local partner Coalition of Positively Charged People, these boxes will be shipped to Retriev Technologies. The batteries will then be crushed, and the minerals will be extracted to be reused. This process significantly decreases the use of mined minerals for new batteries and industry.

Moving forward, you may recycle your batteries at the various recycling stations around TMC (each floor has one). Simply take your company cup, walk down to the recycling station, and drop them in the bucket labeled "Battery Recycling."

The OTC students will be collecting them weekly, with the rest of the recycling. We will be tracking our progress to keep you informed.
Thank you for helping make Tri-Main Center greener & cleaner!
