Announcing the 2019 Philanthropic Achievement Award recipients
The Benton Community Foundation Board of Directors and staff are honored to announce the recipients of the 2019 Philanthropic Achievement Awards. These nine individuals and groups represent causes and organizations from across the county and will be honored for their contributions in nonprofit and local philanthropy. The winners will be celebrated at a November 15 luncheon in Corvallis.
The winners are:
Outstanding Volunteer Fundraiser
This award recognizes a volunteer who motivates others to give, commits time and energy without compensation, and shows talent for fundraising strategy, relationship building, and successful resource development.
2019 Recipients: Ken Johnson
Outstanding Volunteer Group
This award recognizes a collective volunteer effort that has proven effective in moving community programs and projects forward.
2019 Recipients: Benton County Museum Team Leaders
Corvallis Sustainability Coalition
Outstanding Philanthropic Business
This award recognizes a community-minded business that, through its foundation, grant-making and/or employee involvement, commits significant resources to assist local organizations in meeting community needs.
2019 Recipient: Samaritan Health Services
Outstanding Emerging Philanthropist
This award recognizes an individual or group that has improved the community and increased opportunities for others through direct financial support, development of charitable programs, volunteerism, and/or philanthropic leadership. Individuals age 30 or younger are eligible.
2019 Recipient: Raider Royalty Students
at Crescent Valley High School
Outstanding Innovative Project or Program
This award recognizes exceptional innovation and creativity in a recent (past 3 to 5 years) charitable project. Innovation may be in terms of design, public involvement, and/or overall impact.
2019 Recipient: Home Repair Initiative
of Benton Habitat for Humanity
Outstanding Fundraising Professional
This award recognizes a local development professional who has pursued ambitious ideas and successfully inspired and engaged others in philanthropy.
2019 Recipient: Kate Caldwell
Old Mill Center for Children and Families
BCF Board of Directors’ Award
for Outstanding Philanthropic Achievement
This award recognizes an exceptional individual or family whose philanthropic leadership has made significant positive impact on the community.
2019 Recipient: The Honorable Clifford Trow and Jo Anne Trow
