Upcoming workshops and events
The Studio will close at 2 p.m. this afternoon and will also be closed Monday, Jan. 2, in honor of the New Year's holiday.

The Executive Committee will meet on Wednesday, Jan. 4, from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. in the Studio.

On Thursday, Jan. 5, the Software Working Group will meet from 3 to 4 p.m. in the Studio.

There will be an informational meeting on our Data Science for Social Good program in the Studio on Friday, Jan. 6 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Anyone interested in submitting a proposal for this program is encouraged to attend.

Susan Murphy (U. Mich.) is our next featured speaker in our Data Science Seminar series, Jan. 11, 3:30 p.m. in Johnson Hall, room 102.
David Beck, senior data science fellow, has co-authored new papers in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Science and the Journal of Bacteriology.
