Upcoming workshops and events
The next installment of the career workshops hosted by Tom Daniel for the posdocs and graduate students will be on Tuesday, Oct. 31, at noon in the WRF Data Science Studio.

This week's Community Seminar will feature Gwendolyn Eadie speaking on "The Milky Way Galaxy and Hierarchical Bayes" on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. in PAA A110.

There will be an eScience Executive Meeting on Wednesday, Nov. 1, from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. in the Studio.

The Neuroinformatics Working Group will meet in the Studio on Thursday, Nov. 2, from 3 to 4 p.m.

On Friday, Nov. 3, the Education and Training Working Group will meet in the Studio from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.

"Python Data Science Handbook" by Jake VanderPlas, director of open software, is featured on Microsoft's The Visual Studio Blog, highlighting both its content and that it's available free of charge on Azure notebooks.
