Upcoming workshops and events
The last of three Postdoc Career Development Lunches will be on Wednesday, Sept. 26, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the WRF Data Science Studio. Tom Daniel and Bernease Herman will host the event; preregistration was required.

The eScience Office Hours program will resume on the first day of classes, Wednesday, Sept. 26. Check the calendar and list of providers to find research assistance.

Save the date: Join us for a 10th Anniversary Celebration, and welcome to the fall quarter, on Friday, Oct. 5, from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Studio.
West Data Hub

Farewell and thanks
Randy LeVeque, senior data science fellow and member of the executive committee (left), recently retired from his professorship in applied mathematics. Jake VanderPlas, director of open software (right), will be transitioning to Google at the end of the month. We want to thank Randy and Jake for their incredible contributions over the years to the eScience Institute, and wish them the best in their future endeavors.
