Upcoming workshops and events
The popular Software Carpentry Workshop will be happening half-days (9 a.m. to 12 p.m.) Jan. 9 - 12 in the WRF Data Science Studio.

On Tuesday, Jan. 10, Tim Vines will present on “The long, dark tail of research data” at the Reproducibility Working Group, 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. in the Studio.

Also Tuesday the Python in Geosciences group will meet in the Studio from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.

The Data Science Studies Working Group Meeting will be Wednesday, Jan. 11 in the Studio from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m.

Susan Murphy will speak on Wednesday, Jan. 11, at the Data Science Seminar on "Assessing moderated effects of mobile health interventions on behavior." Refreshments will be served, 3:30 - 4:30 p.m., in Johnson Hall, room 102.

The postdocs and graduate students' lunch will be Thursday, Jan. 12 at noon in the Studio.

The Software Working Group will also meet in the Studio on Thursday from 3 to 4 p.m.

This Thursday's Community Seminar will focus on Career Fair preparation, 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. in the Architecture Building, room 147.

The Studio will host the Intermediate Git/Github Tutorial9 a.m. to 12 p.m., on Friday.
