Latest from
the Brussels Bubble
After German MEP Schulz (Social Democrats, DE) announced his resignation as European Parliament president last January, the Parliament chose Antonio Tajani (EPP, IT) as its next president.
With Christian Democrats now at the helm of three European institutions, it is yet to be seen what this EPP trinity will mean for the EU's health priorities. If EPP support for health research in previous years is an indicator for the future, there are no concerns for the upcoming 2021-2028 programme, FP9, currently under negotiation.

Central to the conference were the practices developed by the Down Syndrome Centre in the city of Pula, Croatia, recently recognised by the WHO as a model of excellence and as an example for replication throughout the EU. The aim of the centre is to lift some of the stigmas of DS and to support the optimal integration of persons with DS in their communities. <<read on>>

Until March our journal, Health Services Management Research, is freely accessible here. After that, free access is exclusive to EHMA members.
From next month, a new item will feature in this space dedicated to the state of the art in health management research. Prof. Federico Lega, chair of EHMAs scientific advisory committee, will discuss one publication from previous month, breaking down key take-aways for the time pressed health manager. Staying on top of developments in your field was never as easy.
