EU Health Policy Discussions - AMR
Antimicrobial resistance is a recurring topic in EU policy circles, and justifiably so. EHMA's EU Projects

EHMA had a busy month kicking off two new projects as dissemination partner in a large EU wide consortium. We will be involved in an initiative to co-create health MOOCs to enhance digital health literacy with IC-Health, and to raise awareness to set up a European health and social care research net with TO-Reach.

EP Conference on learning disabilities

January 24th EHMA attended a mini-conference in the European Parliament on learning disabilities. The conference brought together academic and service experts dealing with the topic of Down Syndrome. Central to the conference were the practices developed by the Down Syndrome Centre in the city of Pula, Croatia, recently recognised by the WHO as a model of excellence and as an example for replication throughout the EU. The aim of the centre is to lift some of the stigmas of DS and to support the optimal integration of persons with DS in their communities.  <<read on>>
