European SMEs go international with INNOWWIDE


Dear readers, 

A very warm welcome to INNOWWIDE's second newsletter. In this issue, we will provide a short update regarding the outcome of the 1st open call, we will reiterate the various services available to applicants and will highlight INNOWWIDE's upcoming news.

INNOWWIDE call 1: 378 applicants from innovative SMEs in 35 EU and associated states, targeting more than 50 third countries worldwide.

The first INNOWWIDE call closed on the 31st of May 2019, and we are pleased to let you know that a total of 378 applicants from 35 EU and associated countries applied for funding. The most popular targeted country for viability assessment projects was the USA with 22% of applicants, followed by India, China, Mexico, Chile, Japan, Colombia, Canada and Russia. 54 target countries figured in this first call, with a widespread and balanced distribution between the three categories: developing, large emerging and developed.
Applications are now going through strict eligibility check and independent evaluation, with the applications selected for funding being announced around the end of September 2019.

If you missed our webinar 'INNOWWIDE Calls for Viability Assessment Projects (VAPs)' held on the 09th of April 2019, you can access the webinar recordings and the and the expert’s presentationon our website. The webinar presented the 1st INNOWWIDE call for VAPs and answered most frequently asked questions about applicants eligibility, eligible costs and activities. 
INNOWWIDE's 3rd Consortium meeting in The Hague

INNOWWIDE's 3rd project meeting took place on the 04th and 05th of July 2019 in The Hague, the Netherlands. The meeting focused on topics such as summarizing the outreach and dissemination activities that took place during the period of application for the 1st VAP call; analysing the results of the 1st VAP call; discussing the current process of VAP evaluation and analysing the impact asessment done after the 1st VAP call, which will help the project team understand the improvement needed regarding the process for the 2nd round of applications.
