Egg Hunt and Carnival Update!

Great fun was had at our April 6 Easter Egg Hunt & Spring Carnival.  Almost 100 people attended, braving the spring rainstorm for a chance to get together and hunt some Easter Eggs.  A big thank you to our friends at First Presbyterian Church of Richardson for providing us a great rain location!
After the hunt, we had fun with coloring activities and hula hoops.  Poppins the Clown stole the show with her whimsical face painting and balloon animals.  Thank you to ALL that came out and we hope to see everyone at our annual 4th of July Parade!

Thanks, Lauren LaRocca Membership Chair

This is a friendly reminder to please do not forget Mother's Day on May 12, 2019.  It is always the second Sunday of May in the United States. The first Mother's Day was observed in 1908 by Anna Jarvis, and it was officially recognized with a proclamation by President Woodrow Wilson in 1914.

If you're looking for something for your own mom, the mother of your children, your mother-in-law, a new mom, your sister, your grandma, or other women who have played an inspiring role in your life here are some gift ideas to get you started:
  • Bracelet with an important date engraved
  • New tote or accessories
  • Spa gift card
  • Home Decor
  • Picture Frame with your favorite picture
  • Homemade special or inspiring quote
Let your creativity go wild, it is the thought that counts.  Don't forget to shop local! Richardson has some great shops around town.  But the most important part is spending time with the ones you love!

This is a cause that I felt our community would love to get behind.  A family member works for the organization and passed along the link if anyone would like to donate to help send a prisoner's kid to camp this summer.
