At the Ipswich Cardinals new venue in Rushmere despite steady rain with enough wind to make it uncomfortably cold an impressive near fifty players old and new turned out and just one spectator. Some younger newbs unwisely thought shorts and a t-shirt suitable for the conditions and everyone enjoyed the rookie who when the ball came at him unexpectedly batted it away rather than catch it. Know how he feels, we've done similar playing rugby.

Yesterday we lunched at the Dunwich Flora Tearooms. It's fully functioning (though yesterday temporarily only mushy peas), has posh new furniture and is still dog friendly.
Perhaps it's time for the bulletin board to fade way ...

7:30pm tonight the Halesworth Cut Facebook premieres Driftwood in celebration of Margaret Orbell 1910-2006 who managed the Walberswick campsite. The monologue was directed by James Holloway who passed away last year.

Passing the Stradbroke Spar just after 2pm today worryingly the lights were off. Richard Pierce told us the shop has restricted hours during this pandemic and closes at 2pm on Sunday. He pointed out if we listened more carefully to Radio Stradbroke broadcasting daily 10:00am-02:00pm we would have known this:)

With our Apple devices we often remove the sense when typing by not noticing autosuggest has changed something. Despite this we've turned autosuggest+ on for Windows 10 from this pop up. We'll let you know how it goes ...
