Happy Saturday to you all. This is Karl's cat, Levi, with one of her favourite books. It has been very nice seeing many of you mask to mask over the last week and a bit. Who knows what we are in for in the near future? We appreciate everyone's respect of all the social distancing this and thats that are well known at this point. We are often overwhelmed here and there by everything that needs to get done and appreciate everyone's patience at the sometimes less than instant processing of orders and requests. I am banking the warm nature of every customer I see as I believe the memory will come in handy as things get colder. Karen brought in some beautiful tulsi tea. Thank you very much Karen. Straight up psychotherapy is the feature on this day. Please peruse some classics!
Much love.

The Present Moment in Psychotherapy and Everyday Life
Daniel Stern

While most psychotherapies agree that therapeutic work in the "here and now" has the greatest power to bring about change, few if any books have ever addressed the problem of what "here and now" actually means. In The Present Moment, internationally acclaimed child psychiatrist Daniel N. Stern tackles vexing yet fascinating questions such as: what is the nature of "nowness"? How is "now" experienced between two people? What do present moments have to do with therapeutic growth and change? [More. . .]

Character Styles
Stephen Johnson

Presenting an integrated personality theory, this book shows how basic existential and developmental issues underlie the severe pathology of personality disorders, the nagging symptoms of neurosis, and the more functional coping and adaptation of character styles. It details both an external description of these personalities along the continuum of psychic structure and the internal experience that makes human behaviour understandable and worthy of empathy. [More. . .]
